The auditory brainstem response (ABR – AEP - BERA) is an action potential generated by the brainstem in response to the presentation of an auditory stimulus. The ABR is made up of a series of peaks, which are generated by neural firing starting at the cochlear, then medulla, then pons and then brainstem (keeps proceeding to the thalamus, radial auditive and to the cortex).
